MUMBAI: Bollywood and TV actress Simmy Antara Dixit has made serious allegations against a prominent Delhi-based event organiser, claiming that she was asked to exchange sexual favours in return for a prestigious professional opportunity despite successfully clearing the audition process. Her revelations also shed light on a disturbing overseas experience that she believes exposed her to a potentially dangerous criminal network operating under the guise of entertainment assignments.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with a website, Simmy opened up about the darker side of the glamour industry, where, according to her, aspiring actors and models are often subjected to exploitation, coercion and unethical demands in exchange for work. She alleged that a well-known event organiser from Delhi attempted to pressure her into compromising with a client, suggesting that professional merit alone was not enough to secure a high-profile assignment.
According to Simmy, she had completed the audition successfully and believed she had earned the opportunity on the strength of her talent and performance. However, she claimed that the organiser later informed her that she would have to make personal compromises if she wanted to participate in the event. She firmly refused the alleged demand, choosing to walk away rather than sacrifice her dignity for professional gain.
The actress further narrated another unsettling episode that unfolded during a work trip to Bangkok, where she had travelled after being promised a legitimate international shoot. What initially appeared to be a promising overseas assignment soon turned into an ordeal that left her feeling trapped and vulnerable. Read more
